India is second place for Australian Universities for Higher Education

For Higher Education, India has witnessed that Australian Universities are best for study abroad.

According to the data, Australia is the second place for Indian students to pursue higher education.

As per the sources, around 15,800 students from India are studying in Australian Universities for the year 2013-14. As compared with last year it was 12,062 students who had studied in Australia.

India emerged as the second top supplier of International students for Australia.

China is the topmost supplier of international students for Australia.

India is second place for Australian Universities

Vocational Education and Training (VET) was the sector that saw an overall drop in total enrolments from India.

While the total enrolments in VET fell to 27,581 as compared to 37,922 recorded last year. The commencements dropped to 13,262 from 17,451 in the last period, from India.

VET enrolments fell to 13,709 this year from 15,378 last January-October period from China.

The top five countries for students studying in Australia are:

  • China (29.7 per cent)
  • India (9.2)
  • Korea (5.3)
  • Vietnam (4.8)
  • Malaysia (4.7)
