Highlight Value Of Edu'n In Their Mother Tongue


It is high time for imparting the value and importance of education to the public. During the launch of a book 'Tamizhaga Panpaatu Suzhal' by the Tamilnadu Progressive Writers and Artists Association, N.Sankaraiah said, "The importance of education should be emphasised among the public in their mother tongue."

This book is an exhaustive report of the resolutions passed at the Tamil Nadu Progressive Writers and Artists Association Conference which was held in August. It has the detailed information about culture, religion, social and political issues that are related to the Sethusamudhram project.

On addressing the function, freedom fighter N.Sankaraiah, stressed the need for education through mother tongue. He gave many examples of Bharathi's vision of our homeland's freedom.

"In all stages of education, Tamil can be used as the medium of instruction. The government can pave the way for this", he claimed.

K Veeramani, president, Dravidar Kazhagam, who was present at the meeting said, "only after the introduction of Tamil as one of the mediums in TNPSC exams, candidates from rural and backward areas were able to achieve better ranks."
