IIT Placements 2013- The search has begun!

The placement rounds at IITs, and the competitions between the global giants and MNCs to hire the talented students from the premier institutes have begun.

Flipkart ,Housing.com, Zomato etc who had been there for the placement rounds are in fact headed by the former students of the Institute, who are now back in campus to search for new talent.

Things begin to morph when there is an appreciable amount of external investments in these kind of startups, where finding and heiring talent in general is difficult.

Zomato, a five-year old company, which has got a ending of $37 million, has been considered in the placements rounds for earlier slots at IIT-Bombay and IIT-Delhi. This company has offered packages up to Rs. 26 lakh..

45 IIT graduates were hired by Housing.com in the top slots at Delhi, Mumbai, Kharagpur and Guwahati campuses.

The students find the companies more tempting due to the competitive salaries that they offer.

40 students were hired by Snapdeal from all the IITs in 2012, and they are looking forward to hire about 50 more students in the current year.

Myntra, Gulf Talent, job site Naukri, multi-screen gaming platform Snapstick and classifieds website Quickr have got the top slots from IIT-B.

In the near future, companies of cabs like Meru, Ola, light ticket booking site ibibo, algorithmic trading firm iRagecapita and Skiify Solutions- customized software developer company are in line to head for the hunt.
