The IIT Madras Centre for Outreach and Digital Education (CODE) has opened registrations for the October 2026 batch of the School Connect Programme. The initiative is designed for students studying in Classes 9 to 12, offering them an opportunity to explore different academic fields beyond their regular school curriculum.

Interested students can register online through the IIT Madras CODE portal. The registration window will remain open until September 30, 2026, and the new batch of courses is scheduled to commence from October 5, 2026.
The School Connect Programme is designed to give school students an early exposure to emerging academic fields and help them understand potential higher education and career pathways. The courses have been developed by faculty members from IIT Madras and other leading institutions.

Students who successfully complete the required course activities will receive an official e-certificate from IIT Madras Centre for Outreach and Digital Education (CODE).
The School Connect Programme currently provides courses covering 17 future-oriented disciplines. These include:
The courses are intended to help students explore subjects beyond their regular school curriculum and develop a better understanding of areas they may wish to pursue after Class 12.
The programme can help students make more informed decisions about their future academic interests at an early stage. Exposure to areas such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, aerospace, design and computing can help students understand how different disciplines connect with higher education and emerging careers.
The online format also allows students to participate from different locations without having to travel to a physical campus. The combination of recorded content, live sessions, assignments and assessments provides students with a structured learning experience.
For students who are still exploring their interests, the programme can provide an opportunity to understand different fields before choosing a stream, degree or career path. The e-certificate can also serve as evidence of successful course completion.
Eligible students can visit the IIT Madras CODE website at code.iitm.ac.in, select the School Connect Programme and complete the registration process. Students should provide the required details and select the course of their interest.
The registration deadline is September 30, 2026, and the October cohort is scheduled to commence on October 5, 2026. Students should complete registration before the deadline and carefully check the course requirements before enrolling.
