The Indian Institute of Technology, Madras (IIT-M) is currently accepting applications for its Bachelor of Science (BS) degree program in data science and applications, which spans four years. The deadline for application submission is May 26. Commencing with its qualifier phase one from May 31, the program has a track record of assisting over 2,500 students in securing employment and career advancements, and it is set to welcome its May 2024 batch.

Prospective applicants for the IIT Madras program should meet the following criteria:
They should have completed Class 12 or its equivalent, regardless of age or academic background. Successful candidates can begin the program immediately.
This four-year program, accessible to individuals of all ages and backgrounds, enables students to pursue degree programs alongside their regular academic pursuits. It also offers scholarships of up to 75% to financially disadvantaged students. Presently, the program boasts enrollment of over 25,000 students nationwide, including both working professionals and college students.

Applicants have the option to join the program through a self-contained qualifier process, bypassing the need to take the Joint Entrance Examination. Those who have qualified for JEE Advanced in either 2023 or 2024 are also eligible to apply.
Professor Andrew Thangaraj, who oversees the BS (Data Science and Applications) program at IIT Madras, remarked, "It's worth noting that the inaugural cohort of the 4-year BS degree program has not yet completed their full four years in the program and graduated.
Nevertheless, the remarkable achievements already attained by these students are highly commendable. From securing admission into prestigious universities to obtaining valuable research and internship positions with renowned companies, their successes vividly demonstrate both their potential and the excellence of the program."
