IIT Madras HSEE 2016 Result Date Released

Result date for Humanities & Social Sciences Entrance Examination (HSEE) 2016 has been announced by Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Madras.

HSEE exam was held on April 17 and the results for the same will be released on May 11.

The entrance exam is conducted to offer admissions to integrated Master of Arts (M.A) in Development Studies and integrated M.A in English studies programmes for the session 2016.

Educational Qualification:

Candidates must have passed class 12 from a recognised board or institute.

Paper Pattern:

• Exam duration: 3 hours
• Part 1 consists of objective type multiple choice questions based on the following topics:

English and Comprehension Skill
Analytical and Quantitative Ability
General Studies covering the areas of Indian Economics (since Independence), Indian Society, Contemporary World Affairs (post-World War II)
Environment and Ecology

• Part 2: In this paper candidates are required to write essay on general topic, which comprises of description, or/and reflection or/and discussion.
