IIT-Madras Sets New FACE Quota For Fine Arts Excellence In 2025

Starting from the 2025-26 academic session, IIT-Madras is set to pioneer a unique admission quota named "Fine Arts and Culture Excellence" (FACE) for its undergraduate courses. This initiative positions IIT-Madras as the first among Indian Institutes of Technology to acknowledge and foster talents beyond the academic sphere, specifically in the realms of fine arts and culture. Following closely on the heels of introducing a sports quota for the 2024-25 academic session, IIT-Madras continues to broaden its horizon by offering two additional supernumerary seats per program under the FACE quota. "IIT-Madras will be offering seats in each of its undergraduate programmes through FACE admissions by creating two supernumerary seats per programme for Indian nationals and Overseas Citizens Of India/Persons of Indian Origin (OCI/PIO) candidates who have chosen to be treated at par with Indian nationals at the time of JEE (Advanced) - 2025 registration will be eligible for FACE admission," Kamakoti stated.
