IIT Kanpur To Conduct GATE 2023; Know About GATE 2023 Schedule And Eligibility Criteria
The Information regarding Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2023 has been released recently. As per the information GATE 2023 is to be conducted by the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur along with other prestigious institutions. The examination is scheduled to be conducted by IIT Kanpur in the month of February i.e. on 4, 5, 11 and 12 February 2023. However the detailed notification is yet to be released, candidates are advised to prepare well and make the right use of time till date.

What is GATE?
The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering is an examination which is for the admission in Masters programs in 29 disciplines and entry level jobs in Public Sector Undertakings.The examination is conducted every year in the joint collaboration of the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore and Seven Indian Institutes of Technology. Students who qualify GATE also get financial assistance of Rs. 12,400 per month from the Ministry Of Human Resource Development (MHRD), government of India.
GATE : Who Is Eligible?
Students falling in below mentioned criteria are eligible to appear in GATE.
- Bachelor Degree Holders in Engineering, Architecture, technology or students in their final year of these programs may sit in the exam.
- Master degree holders in Science, Mathematics, statistics or Computer Science or students in the final year of such programs are eligible to write the exam.
- Students who qualified examinations conducted by the professional societies recognized by UGC/AICTE for example: AMIE conducted by the Institution of Engineers in India, AMICE by the Institute of Civil Engineers in India, AMIETE By The Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers also are eligible to appear in GATE.
- Students with Engineering / Technology / Architecture / Science / Commerce / Arts background are also eligible to appear for GATE 2023 examination.
