IIT-JEE: JoSAA 2024 Counselling Schedule is Announced; Seat Acceptance Fee Payments Begin on June 9

Dates for counselling are released by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA). There will be five rounds total, with an additional round reserved for NIT+ systems. While the JoSAA seat acceptance fee pre-payment period opens on June 9, the simulated seat allotment display will take place on June 10.

On June 9, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras will release the results of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced 2024. To secure a place at the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information and Technology (IIITs), and other government-funded technical institutes (GFTIs), the shortlisted candidates will need to go through the JoSAA 2024 counselling process.

Eligibility for JoSAA Counselling 2024:

The choices for the course and institute must be made by the eligible candidates during registration; their allocation will be based on their rank. JoSAA counselling was formerly co-conducted by NIT Rourkela; however, the authority has not provided an update on this for this year. On the official website, josaa.nic.in, students can register.

Steps to Apply for JoSAA Counselling 2024:

Step 1: Visit the official website; josaa.nic.in.
Step 2: Click on the registration link given on the website.
Step 3: Enter your credentials such as JEE Main Application Number and Date of Birth.
Step 4: Complete the choice filing process.
Step 5: Review and lock the filled-in choices.

After candidate lock in their selections, the authority releases two mock seat allocations, which are followed by data reconciliation, seat allocation verification, and validation.

The option to withdraw or leave the seat allocation procedure is available to candidates. The Joint Seat Allocation Authority held six counselling sessions last year.
