The fee structure for these Sanskrit courses is designed to be accessible. The schedule for the classes will be announced by IIT-Hyderabad, keeping in mind the convenience of the students. The curriculum is designed to improve fluency in reading, writing, and speaking Sanskrit, along with a focus on understanding shlokas, stotras, and various literary and scientific texts in Sanskrit.

Scholarship Opportunities at IIT Hyderabad

IIT-Hyderabad offers several scholarships to its undergraduate and postgraduate students, ensuring that financial constraints do not hinder academic progress. One of the key scholarships available is the Merit-Cum-Means (MCM) scholarship. This scholarship is offered to students in the GEN/GEN-EWS/OBC categories whose family income does not exceed Rs 4.5 lakh annually. Applicants are required to submit an Income Tax Return (ITR) as proof of income.

To be eligible for the MCM scholarship, students must maintain a minimum SGPA/CGPA of 7.0 without any backlogs. This scholarship is awarded to 25% of the total class strength, providing recipients with Rs 1,000 as pocket money each month.

SC/ST Scholarships

IIT Hyderabad also offers a dedicated scholarship for students from SC/ST categories. There is no cap on the number of scholarships awarded under this scheme, provided the student's family income is below Rs 4.5 lakh per year. Just like the MCM scholarship, students must submit an ITR to prove eligibility.

To qualify, SC/ST students need to maintain an SGPA/CGPA of at least 7.0 without any active backlogs. In addition to pocket money of Rs 250 per month, SC/ST students are eligible for reimbursements of License Fees and Dining Charges as per actuals.

Through these initiatives, IIT-Hyderabad aims to make education more accessible while encouraging academic excellence. These financial aid programs ensure that deserving students receive the support they need to thrive academically, while also promoting a deeper understanding of traditional knowledge like Sanskrit.
