IIT Bombay organised its 58th Convocation in Virtual Reality (VR) mode for around 2,000 students on August 23, 2020. The graduating students of Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay are on cloud nine by experiencing their animated avatar in convocation attire walking to the dais and receiving their degrees from dignitaries who are also in virtual avatar. IIT Bombay 58th Convocation 2020

IIT Bombay started the Convocation by the institute song and welcome and report by the Director. The chief guest and guest of honour addressed the students. The awards of gold medals, awards of institute silver medals and awards of excellence in PhD degrees presented. The PhD, Masters and Bachelor's degrees awarded to students. The degree recipients took the pledge. IIT Bombay Convocation ceremony closed with the National Anthem.
