IISER Admissions 2024 applications begins today; Check out the application process and more

The Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) is set to commence the application process for the IISER Aptitude Test (IAT) 2024 today. IAT serves as a screening test for admission to the five-year (dual degree) program for science students and the four-year BS degree program for engineering sciences and economic sciences (offered exclusively at IISER Bhopal).

IISER will activate the link for the IISER application form 2024 on iiseradmission.in. Candidates will have until May 13 to submit their applications for the research program. Application corrections can be made on May 16 and 17. Hall tickets will be released by IISER on June 1, and the exam is scheduled for June 9.

Eligibility Criteria for IISER Entrance Exam 2024

• Applicants must be Indian nationals, PIOs, or OCIs to apply through the KVPY or IAT channel. Candidates who are not Indian nationals, PIOs, or OCIs can apply for admission only through the JEE (Advanced) channel.
• Candidates must have passed the Class XII (or equivalent) examination with a science stream in 2022 or 2024 from any board recognized by the Council of Boards of School Education in India (COBSE).
• Candidates must have studied at least three subjects among Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics during their Class XII (or equivalent) examination.
• Candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwD categories should have scored a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate or equivalent grade in their Class XII (or equivalent) examination. Candidates from other categories should have scored a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate or equivalent grade in their Class XII (or equivalent) examination.

IISER Entrance Exam 2024 Application Process

The application process for IISER 2024 will commence on April 1, 2024. The IISER Entrance Exam 2024 application form will be accessible online via the official exam website. Candidates are required to first register by furnishing their personal and educational information. Upon receiving the registration credentials for IISER 2024 via email and SMS, candidates must log in again to complete the application form by providing additional personal details, academic information, exam city preference, course preference, and uploading necessary documents. Subsequently, candidates are prompted to pay the application fee through online modes such as credit/debit card or net banking.

Application Fee

• The application fee must be paid by the applicant during the submission of the application form.
• Rs 2,000 for candidates applying under General, EWS, OBC, and OBC-NCL categories.
• Rs. 1,000/- for candidates applying under persons with disabilities (PwD), persons registered as Kashmiri Migrants (KM), and SC/ST category.
• The application fee is non-refundable.
