IISc grabs 22nd place in Global Employability University Ranking 2014

The Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore has made it to the top 22nd position in Global Employability University Ranking 2014.

It is the top university from India has graded on the basis of employability of their degree. In 2013, it was placed in the 23rd position in the rankings.

The Global Employability University Ranking 2014 results was compiled by French human resources consulting group Emerging Associates along with Trendence, a German polling and research institute, are based on surveys of 2,500 international recruiters in 20 countries.

IISc tops in global employability ranking 2014

The Cambridge University has topped the list by overtaking Oxford University.

Indian School of Business is the second institution from Indian had placed in the 53rd position. Even, IIT Bombay has jumped its ranking from 145th to 120th.

IIT Kanpur has placed in 145th position and IIT Delhi in 149th position.

"On the whole, the results of this year's survey and the ensuing ranking confirm that ‘global' is the key word for tomorrow's university", said Laurent Dupasquier, associate director of Emerging Associates.

Recently, Times Higher Education has released the list of Brics and Emerging Economies University Rankings 2015. In this list, IISc managed to grab 25th position.
