India Accelerator, on Wednesday, announced a collaboration with the IIM-Lucknow Enterprise Incubation Centre to launch an early-stage venture capital - Angel Investing Certification program. This joint effort aims to equip aspiring angel investors with the knowledge and expertise necessary for investing in the startup asset class, blending both the art and science of investment.

The two-day residential program will take place at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Lucknow EIC (Noida) campus on April 6 and 7, 2024. Registration for this program will conclude on March 24. Designed for High Net Worth Individuals (HNIs), Ultra High Net Worth Individuals (UHNIs), Chartered Accountants (CAs), family offices, and startup mentors, the program aims to provide insights into the startup investing landscape and opportunities for wealth creation, as per a statement issued by IIM Lucknow.
Founded by Ashish Bhatia, Abhay Chawla, and Mona Singh in 2017, India Accelerator offers a dynamic and supportive ecosystem for entrepreneurs. The angel investing certification program has been developed jointly by startup specialists from India Accelerator and faculty members of IIM Lucknow. It will extensively cover various subjects such as startup assessment, investment philosophy, valuation methodologies, networking and syndication, Alternative Investment Funds (AIFs), portfolio administration, tax implications, legal structures, and exit strategies.
Moreover, participants will engage with industry pioneers, acquire practical knowledge, and establish connections within the startup community. Registration for the Angel Investing Certification Course is currently available, with the inaugural session set to begin in April 2024.
