The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Calcutta has issued a warning to CAT 2024 aspirants about fraudulent websites posing as the official registration portal. The institute emphasized that the only legitimate site for CAT 2024 information, registration, and application submission is iimcat.ac.in.

In an official statement released on Thursday, IIM Calcutta revealed that a fake website had been identified, which was attempting to mislead applicants and collect their personal information. "Please be aware that this (https://iimcat.ac.in) is the only authentic website for CAT 2024, as has been publicly advertised, and there is no other website for information or registration/submission of the CAT 2024 application form," the notice stated.
The registration process for CAT 2024 started on August 1 at 10 AM. Candidates are required to maintain a valid and unique email account and mobile phone number throughout the selection process. Once registered, admit cards will be available for download from November 5 to November 24.
The CAT 2024 examination is scheduled for November 24, 2024, and will be conducted in a computer-based format across three sessions. Results are expected to be announced in the second week of January 2025. This examination is a crucial step for admission into various Post Graduate and Fellow/Doctorate programmes at IIMs.
IIM Calcutta's notice urged all applicants and stakeholders to visit only the official website to avoid falling victim to malicious websites engaged in pharming or phishing activities. "We urge all applicants and stakeholders to be cautious and visit only our official website and not fall prey to spurious or malicious websites engaging in pharming/phishing that resemble the official CAT website," the notice further emphasized.
