Among Indian institutions, the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bangalore has secured the top spot, reaffirming its position as a leader in executive education within the country.

IIM Bangalore Tops India's Business Schools Again

IIM Bangalore has climbed in global ranks, securing an impressive 41st position, up from 43rd last year. This achievement underscores its reputation for excellence in executive business education, setting a benchmark for Indian institutes on the global stage. Following closely behind, the Indian School of Business (ISB) has retained its prominence but faces a slight setback with its global rank slipping into the '101-110' range, down from 100 last year. Despite this, ISB remains a formidable contender in the realm of executive MBA programs.

IIM Kozhikode and Institute of Management Technology (IMT) Ghaziabad have secured third and fourth positions among Indian institutions, both falling within the '171-180' range. Their consistent performance highlights the diversity and quality of executive education offerings in India.

Nunzio Quacquarelli, President of QS, expressed enthusiasm about India's growing influence in executive business education, noting, "QS is thrilled to celebrate the success of IIM Bangalore, recognized as the home of India's best Executive program." This recognition reflects India's expanding footprint in the global business education landscape. On a global scale, Oxford's Said Business School has claimed the top spot, advancing from third place last year. Former leader HEC Paris has dropped to third, while IESE Business School and MIT Sloan hold onto their positions in second and fourth place respectively. London Business School rounds out the top five, moving up from seventh place.

The rankings also highlight significant shifts among top global institutions, with Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management and Yale School of Management making notable advancements. This dynamic environment underscores the competitiveness and evolution within the executive MBA sector globally.
Emphasizing Diversity and Quality

This year's rankings encompass 194 MBA programs from 45 countries and territories, emphasizing the importance of international diversity, career outcomes, and rigorous academic standards. The continued rise of Indian business schools in global rankings reflects their commitment to excellence and their contribution to the global business community.

The 2024 QS Executive MBA Rankings showcase the strengths and challenges faced by Indian business schools amidst a competitive global landscape. As institutions like IIM Bangalore lead the charge, India's role in shaping executive education trends becomes increasingly influential. With ongoing advancements and a focus on quality, Indian business schools are poised to continue making significant strides in the years to come.
