The Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Bangalore has increased the fee by 10% for its Post Graduate Programme (PGP) from Rs 17 lakh to Rs 18.7 lakh.
By this hike, IIM Bangalore will become the costliest b-school among premier institutions. The board of governors took a decision to increase the fee in a meeting.
The fees have been increased after two years, which has been the practice at the 41-year-old Institute.
Even, IIM Ahmedabad has also increased the fee for its 3 programmes for the next academic year.
However, IIM Bangalore is planning to open a second campus in Bengaluru. But, the Karnataka government should have to allow land for the new campus.
The below table shows the fee structure in premier institutions:
B-School | Fee |
IIM Bangalore | 18.7 lakh |
IIM Ahmedabad | 18.5 lakh |
IIM Calcutta | 16.2 lakh |
IIM Kozhikode | 13 lakh |
IIM Lucknow | 10.8 lakh |
