Good news for candidates applying under Persons With Disability (PWD)
Those candidates who have applied for CAT 2016 under the Persons with disability (PWD) category will be able to avail all the required help for writing the prestigious entrance exam. IIM Bangalore will provide the aforementioned facility through its CAT application web page and the specially abled candidates can avail the following facilities,
For candidates with visual difficulties
The management institute has plans to provide questions as alternatives to graphs, pictures or maps during the exams for candidates with visual impairment.
Further, on 4 December 2016, that is on the day of the exams, the PWD candidates will have an opportunity to register 15 minutes before other candidates.
PWD coordinators will extend a helping hand for PWD candidates at every exam centre. The list of PWD coordinators will be shared with the concerned candidates much before the exams.
Prof Rajendra K Bandi, Convener of CAT 2016 told Times of India, "Going by the trends of previous years, there will be a huge surge in the number of registrations in the last 2-3 days, which increases the load on servers and can potentially impact server response time. Candidates are advised to register early and avoid last minute inconvenience."
