The Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA) has announced the launch of a two-year Executive MBA programme at its Dubai campus. The new programme is designed for experienced professionals who want to strengthen their leadership abilities, develop strategic business knowledge and prepare for senior management responsibilities while continuing their careers.

The Executive MBA is a part-time, in-person degree programme that will offer a combination of classroom learning, practical business insights and international exposure. Applicants will be required to qualify through one of the accepted admission assessments: GMAT, GRE or the IIMA Executive Assessment.
The newly launched programme expands IIM Ahmedabad's existing offerings in Dubai, which already include a one-year MBA and a General Management Programme. The institute aims to bring its established case-based teaching approach and academic expertise to working professionals in the Middle East and other international markets.
The two-year programme will be delivered across six terms and will combine weekend classroom sessions with experiential learning opportunities. Participants will also attend a seven-day residency at IIMA's Ahmedabad campus and take part in an international immersion.
A faculty-supervised executive capstone project will form another important component of the programme. Through this project, participants will work on real-world business challenges and apply the concepts learned during the course.
The curriculum will also integrate artificial intelligence (AI) and digital transformation, helping professionals understand how emerging technologies influence business strategy, leadership and organisational decision-making.
Candidates interested in applying for the Executive MBA programme at IIM Ahmedabad's Dubai campus should meet the following eligibility requirements:
Professional experience: At least six years of professional experience after graduation.
Managerial experience: A minimum of three years in managerial or leadership positions.
Professional background: Experienced professionals seeking to strengthen their strategic, cross-functional and enterprise-level management capabilities.
Career objectives: Candidates looking to expand their business perspective, lead across functions and markets, or explore international career opportunities across the Middle East, Africa and Asia.
Admission assessment: Applicants must qualify through GMAT, GRE or the IIMA Executive Assessment, as applicable under the programme's admission requirements.
Candidates should consult the institute's official programme information for complete admission conditions, application procedures and assessment requirements.
The Executive MBA will follow a part-time format, allowing working professionals to balance their employment responsibilities with academic commitments. Weekend in-person classes will provide opportunities for peer learning, discussions and practical business analysis.
The Ahmedabad campus residency and international immersion are intended to broaden participants' exposure to different business environments. The executive capstone project will further help learners apply management concepts to challenges encountered in professional settings.
Graduates will also gain access to IIM Ahmedabad's alumni network, which includes professionals from different industries and regions. The institute has active alumni chapters in the UAE, India and other international locations, offering opportunities for professional networking and knowledge exchange.
The programme is intended for professionals preparing for senior leadership roles, broader organisational responsibilities and international career opportunities. Its emphasis on strategy, cross-functional management, technology and global business perspectives may benefit participants seeking career progression in complex business environments.
With this launch, IIM Ahmedabad is expanding its executive education presence in Dubai and offering experienced professionals another opportunity to pursue advanced management education while continuing their careers.
