IIM Ahmedabad announces PGP final placements 2014

The Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Ahmedabad announces the final placements for the class of Post Graduate Programme (PGP) that was held on 09th February 2014.

The placement process witnessed higher salaries being offered to the candidates. A total of 388 students in the PGP batch 2014 attended the placement.

According to the institute officials, salaries offered during Cluster 1 of the placement process are higher by 10-15%, when compared to the average salaries of Rs 16 to 17 lakhs last year.

Companies like RPG group and Capgemini have extended offers with 5-10% higher salaries.

According to the sources, Accenture made the highest number of offers to around 18 candidates.

The placement process at IIM Ahmedabad is based on a ‘cohort' system, where companies offering placements of similar profiles are placed in a single group.

Multiple cohorts are part of one cluster at the campus placement sessions. The day when the process commences is called the "cluster".

As per the institute officials, Cluster 2, Cluster 3 and Cluster 4 are scheduled to be held on 16th February, 23rd February and 02nd March 2014.
