IHUB Anubhuti Invites Applications for CHANAKYA PGF

iHub Anubhuti is excited to open applications for the Fifth round of CHANAKYA Fellowships, a program under NM-ICPS by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India. This unique opportunity is available for Undergraduate, Postgraduate, and Post-Doctoral students, allowing them to delve into in-depth analyses and propose solutions, particularly centered around cutting-edge technologies such as Cognitive Computing and Social Sensing.

The Comprehensive and Holistic Advancement of National Knowledge Yield and Analytics (CHANAKYA) Post-Graduation Fellowships (PGF), provide an exciting opportunity for post-graduate students to enhance their learning, explore entrepreneurial skills, and innovate across various domains.

Established by IIIT-Delhi as a Section 8 company, iHub Anubhuti focuses on implementing and realizing the objectives of NM-ICPS (National Mission on Interdisciplinary Cyber-Physical Systems) under the Department of Science and Technology. The primary focus areas of iHub Anubhuti include new knowledge, technology solutions, skilled human resources, and creating an enabling eco-system for entrepreneurship in the field of Cognitive Computing & Social Sensing (CC&SS).

The CHANAKYA PGF, offered by iHub Anubhuti, aims at building collaboration between industries, academia, and government agencies to develop data-driven cognitive computing solutions. The key verticals include Healthcare, Legal Information System, and Education in CC&SS. The fellowship also seeks to encourage and promote entrepreneurial activities and start-ups in the dynamic field of "Cognitive Computing & Social Sensing."

Manthan

Manthan is a government initiative that fosters large-scale collaboration between the industry and the scientific research and development ecosystem to contribute towards India's national objectives and the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The platform seeks to empower stakeholders to enhance their engagement with researchers and innovators, facilitating research and development (R&D) and innovation. It also serves as a space to address challenges related to emerging technologies, scientific interventions, and initiatives with a social impact.

CHANAKYA PGF Details

Fellowship Name: iHub Anubhuti PGF (CHANAKYA Post-Graduation Fellowships)
Objective: Provide a platform for PG students to work on a real problem of the industry and solve it using Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS).
Number of Fellowships: 24
Eligibility: Post-graduate students from any discipline who have completed undergraduate studies with a minimum CGPA of 6 or 60% marks and a keen interest in working in the areas of "Cognitive Computing & Social Sensing."
Duration: Up to 24 months (maximum)
Fellowship Grant: Up to Rs. 12,400 per month

Selection Procedure

The proposals will be shortlisted based on eligibility criteria, feasibility, and originality. Shortlisted applicants will be invited to present their proposals to the Evaluation Committee.

Expected Outcomes

The CHANAKYA PGF aims to yield novel methods leading to translational technology (potential startups), source codes and datasets, research papers or patents, project reports, and trained professionals.

• Number of Intellectual Property (IP) Generated
• Contribution of PG students in solving real problems of industries

Terms & Conditions

Applicants availing any other fellowship cannot apply for CHANAKYA.
Monthly monitoring of selected applications will be conducted, and iHub Anubhuti reserves the right to end the fellowship without prior notice if progress is deemed unsatisfactory.

iHub Anubhuti holds the right to revise eligibility criteria and reject proposals without assigning reasons at any time. All deliverables must acknowledge the support of iHub Anubhuti IIITD Foundation.

Fellowship Grants for Different Academic Levels in CHANAKYA Program

• For selected UG Fellows: Rs. 1,00,000/- per fellow (Total duration 10 months)
• For selected PG Fellows: Rs. 2,97,600/- per fellow (Total duration 24 months)
• For selected Post Doctoral Fellows: Rs. 19,20,000/- per fellow (Total Duration 24 Months)
