The Faculty of Public Administration, School of Social Sciences (SOSS) at Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has introduced a new postgraduate diploma in Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (PGDDRRM). The last date to apply for the July session is June 30.

Programme Overview
This comprehensive one-year programme is offered through open distance learning, with a maximum duration of three years for completion. The total fee is Rs 7,400, and the course is available in both English and Hindi.
Curriculum Details
The PGDDRRM curriculum covers a wide range of topics, including:
- Natural and human-induced hazards
- Disaster preparedness
- Mitigation strategies
- Rehabilitation efforts
The course also focuses on practical skills in disaster risk reduction and management. In alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, the programme includes an internship component to provide students with hands-on experience, allowing them to apply their knowledge in real-world scenarios.
Eligibility and Application Process
