IGNOU: Apply Online 65 Professors And Associate Professors Post Before October 31

The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), New Delhi, has invited online applications from qualified and experienced candidates for filling 65 vacancies to the post of Professors and Associate Professors in multiple disciplines/schools comprising Humanities, Social Sciences, Sciences, Education, Management Studies, Health Sciences, Computer and Information Science and School of Tourism, Hospitality Service Sectoral Management, Social Work and STRIDE through direct recruitment. The registration-cum-application process towards the same started on September 30, 2019 and closes on October 31, 2019 with November 5, 2019 as the last date for submitting a hard copy of the filled in application.

Age Criteria And Fees

Candidates interested in applying for Professors and Associate Professors post through IGNOU must meet the age criteria as per the IGNOU norms, with relaxation (upper age limit) to reserved categories as per the Govt. of India guidelines.

Candidates must pay a prescribed amount of Rs. 500 (Gen/OBC/EWS) as application processing fee through online (net-banking/credit/debit) mode only. SC/ST/PWD and Women candidates, however, are exempted from paying the application fee.

Educational Criteria And Experience

Candidates applying for Professors and Associate Professors post through IGNOU must possess an MBBS Degree; P.hD; Post-Graduation Degree; Master's Degree; MBA/PGDM; M.Ed./M.A in the concerned discipline/subject from a recognised University/Institution with eight to ten years of experience in teaching as detailed in the notifications.

Selection And Pay Scale

The selection of candidates as Professors and Associate Professors post through IGNOU will be done on the basis of merit and as as IGNOU norms.

Candidates selected as Professors and Associate Professors through IGNOU will be paid emolument under Level 14 and Level 13A respectively of the 7th CPC.
