Eligibility Criteria for Non Faculty & Faculty Jobs
Educational Qualification
- Professor: A Medical qualification included in the I or II or part - II of the third schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956. Postgraduate qualification. M. Ch. for Surgical Super-specialities and D.M. for Medical Superspecialitiesor a qualification recognized equivalent thereto.
- Assistant Professor: A Medical qualification included in the I or II or Part- II of the third schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956. Postgraduate qualification
- Sister Grade -II: Matriculation or its equivalent. Certificate in General Nursing and Midwifery from a recognized Institution or equivalent
- Child Psychologist: M. A. with specialized training/Ph.D. in psychology/ or any other equivalent qualification
- Junior Biomedical Engineer: First Class Diploma in Electronics/Bio-Medical Engineering from a recognized Institute/Polytech. with two years experience in a Medical Institution or reputed organization.
- Draft Man Grade -III: Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized Board/University and 02 years Diploma/Certificate in Civil Draughtsmanship from ITI or equivalent from a recognized Institute
- Bearer: 8th Standard pass from a recognized School/Boards
- Ophthalmic Technician Grade- I: B.Sc. in Ophthalmic Techniques or equivalent from recognized University/Institution.

How to Apply?
Eligible candidates can apply to the post by visiting the official site of IGIMS and send the filled up application form in prescribed format to Director, IGIMS, Sheikhpura, Patna -14 (Bihar)on or before 28 September 2015.
Details from Official Notification
The application completed in all respect along with self attested photocopies of certificates/testimonials and recent passport size photograph as well as requisite fee should reach by registered/speed post/currier to the Director, IGIMS, Sheikhpura, Patna -14 (Bihar) on or before 28-09-2015 3.30 PM "Institute shall not be responsible for any lapses or delay by the Postal Department or Courier Agency".
The incomplete application and application received after last date will not be accepted.

About IGIMS:
Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences was established on 19 November 1983 as an autonomous organisation on the pattern of All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi.
The estimated budget was 1.10 billion rupees which was later revised to 133 Crores. It is one of the main health care institutions in the state of Bihar. It is the only superspecialist institute of Bihar. The institute provides education in medicine and conducts health and medicinal research.It got affiliation of medical college from MCI in September 2011. It has 100 MBBS seat.
First batch started from October 2011. It is 3rd medical college in patna and 10th in bihar. It is recognised to provide degree of MBBS, MD, MS, M.Ch, DM, DNB and various paramedical degrees. On 12 July 2013, Medical Council of India (MCI) granted permission to IGIMS, Patna, to admit 100 students for its MBBS course in academic session 2013-14.
