ICSI, New Delhi announces its new center at Faridabad, Haryana

Faridabad: The Institute of Company Sectaries of India (ICSI) announced the opening of its First Fully integrated center "ICSI Faridabad House" on 3rd August 2014.

The Foundation stone of ICSI House- Faridabad was laid by Hon'ble Minister of State Road Transport & Highways, Shri Krishan Pal in the presence of Mr. R Shridharan (President ICSI), Mr. Vikas Khare (VP ICSI), Sanjay Grover (Council Member, ICSI), Mr. Shyam Aggrawal (Chairman, NRIC of ICSI), Mr. Naresh K. Goel, (Chairman of Faridabad Chapter of NIRC of ICSI) along with no of ICSI students and members. The building is located at 1 A, Instutional area, Sec-16A, Faridabad, Haryana.

On this occasion, Hon'ble Minister of State Road Transportation & Highways, Shri Krishan Pal said, "I am delighted to be the part of such wonderful event and my best wishes are with the ICSI that it may touch many new milestones in future and serve the nation". He further expressed that ,"the professional bodies like ICSI are playing a very important role to develop trained and qualified professionals who are taking the country and its economy to the next level and facilitating overall development". He added, company sectaries have now a great role towards the betterment of our country.

CS R. Sridharan, President, The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) in his Presidential Address said that, "there is going to be more requirement of Company Secretaries, who are now Key Managerial Personnel and in order to provide the students with excellent facilities, the Institute is coming up with its infrastructure initiatives at various locations in India". CS R. Sridharan expressed that these kind of initiatives would boost the morale of students and professionals and would give a fillip to their effective functioning. He mentioned that ICSI is stepping up to its responsibility and is increasing its reach to ensure that it develops well rounded professional who would cater and play their role effectively in the development of the country".

CS Vikas Y Khare (Vice- President, ICSI while addressing the gathering expressed that ,"The new building of ICSI House - Faridabad, is necessary as there is a dire need to be able to process the growing number of students and members which are increasing every year, The building of ICSI House - Faridabad will be the visual expression of our continued commitment to the students and members of the ICSI.

Mr. Shyam Aggrawal (Chairman, NRIC of ICSI), informed that providing good infrastructure facilities to the Students and Members of the Faridabad Industrial town will bring forth their overall development in a better manner and that this project of ICSI House - Faridabad is going to be a mile stone achievement for Faridabad Chapter which in future will contribute in the modernization of the industry and business sector of this industrial town of the state of Haryana.

CS Sanjay Grover, Council Member & Chairman Building committee, Faridabad Chapter, ICSI outlined the facilities to proffer by the construction of the ICSI HOUSE , Faridabad, to its members and students and informed that:

  • The building will have facility of Basement, Ground Floor, First Floor, and Second Floor with total covered area of 6152 sq. ft.
  • The basement will be having library & storage facilities.
  • The Ground Floor will be having Administrative block, Members and Students service Centers.
  • The 1st Floor will have two classrooms of capacity for 100 students each.
  • On the 2nd Floor there will be an Auditorium with sitting capacity of 150 persons.
  • This Building will have all the ultramodern facilities to provide effective and efficient services to its Members, Students and other Stakeholders.

    CS Naresh K. Goel, Chairman of Faridabad Chapter of NIRC of ICSI, while delivering the Welcome Address informed that Faridabad is the first industrial town of Haryana and was set up in 1965. The town provides direct and indirect employment to nearly half a million people and is the 9th largest industrial estate in Asia, Its combined turnover is estimated to be about Rs.15000 Crores per annum. The town enjoys good education facilities, has a literacy rate of 70.%. CS Naresh Goel also informed that the ‘ICSI House - Faridabad' is located strategically . The plot allotted to the Chapter by the HUDA is strategically located in Sector 16A, adjoining to Delhi - Mathura Road. Distance from Plot to National Highway is less than 1KM.; also proposed Metro Station will be less than 1 K.M. and existing Railway Station on broad gauge is less than 1.5 K.M. He also informed that nearest Bus Stand is approx 1 K.M and nearest airport is 45 K.M. by road.

    CS M.S. Sahoo , Secretary ICSI, re- emphasized the need for good infrastructure facilities for Students and Members of ICSI for nurturing the best of professionals in a good scholarly environment. He said that these facilities will be instrumental in enriching the experience of the educational pursuit and professional acumen of the students and members.

    CS Sutanu Sinha, Chief Executive, ICSI said that ICSI's Vision is ‘to be a global leader in promoting Good Corporate Governance' and its Mission is ‘to develop high calibre professionals facilitating good Corporate Governance' and in order to achieve both, the Institute is in constant endeavour to provide all the key facilities to its students and members to facilitate their proper growth as professionals.
