Steps to Apply for Re-evaluation, Eligibility, Fee & Improvement Exam Dates

The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) has officially declared the rechecking results for the ICSE (Class 10) and ISC (Class 12) board exams for the year 2025.

Students who had requested rechecking of their answer scripts can now view their revised results on the CISCE's official portal - www.cisce.org. Following this, the Council has opened the re-evaluation window for students who are still not satisfied with their marks after rechecking.

Re-evaluation Schedule 2025

• Start Date: May 28, 2025
• End Date: May 30, 2025

Applicable for: Students who have already applied for rechecking but wish to request a further detailed evaluation.

What Is Re-evaluation?

Re-evaluation is a process where the answer script is re-examined for correct marking, totaling errors, and missed answers. This is more thorough than basic rechecking (which only ensures all pages were evaluated and marks were added correctly). It is offered only to those students who've already completed the rechecking stage.

Re-evaluation Application Process

Students who wish to apply for re-evaluation must follow these steps:

Visit the CISCE Re-evaluation Portal

• Go to the official website www.cisce.org or directly visit the re-evaluation page when available.

Login

• Use your Unique ID and Index Number to log in.

Select Subjects

• Choose the specific subject(s) you wish to get re-evaluated.

Fee Payment

• Pay ₹1,500 per subject via the online payment gateway.

Submit and Confirm

• Carefully review your choices before final submission. An acknowledgment receipt will be generated.

Important: The marks awarded after re-evaluation will be considered final, even if they are lower than the original.

How to Check Rechecking Results

Students who applied for rechecking can view their revised marks by following these steps:

• Visit: https://results.cisce.org
• Select your examination (ICSE or ISC)
• Enter your UID and Index Number
• View and download your updated mark sheet

Improvement Examination Details 2025

For students who still wish to improve their scores after rechecking and/or re-evaluation, CISCE is also offering the opportunity to appear in Improvement Examinations.

• Registration Dates: May 30 - June 5, 2025
• Eligibility: Students can reappear in up to two subjects
• Fees: ₹500 per subject
• Mode of Application: Through respective schools only
• Exam Dates: To be announced (tentatively in July or August)

For ISC candidates: If English is chosen, both Paper 1 (English Language) and Paper 2 (Literature) must be attempted. The best score between the two attempts will be retained.
