The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), an autonomous organization under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India, has called for online applications from qualified and experienced Indian citizens for filling Sixty-Five (65) vacancies to the post of Scientist ' E' (Medical), Scientist 'E' (Non-Medical), Scientist 'D' (Medical) and Scientist 'D' (Non-Medical) through direct recruitment to be posted at ICMR in New Delhi and its 27 Institutes/Centers across India on a fulltime basis. The registration-cum-application process towards the same started on November 8, 2020 and closes on December 5, 2020 by 5:30 pm.

ICMR Recruitment 2020: Age Criteria And Fees

Candidates interested in applying for Scientist E and Scientist D posts through ICMR Recruitment 2020 must not have exceeded 45 years of age (Scientist E) and 50 years of age (Scientist E) respectively, with relaxation (upper age limit) for reserved categories as specified in the ICMR Notification 2020.

Candidates must remit a prescribed amount of Rs. 1,500 (Gem/UR/OBC) as application fee for Scientist E and Scientist D posts under ICMR Recruitment 2020 through online (debit/credit/net-banking) mode. However, SC/ST/EWS/Women and PWD candidates are exempted from paying the application fee as mentioned in the ICMR Notification 2020.

Desirous candidates applying for Scientist E and Scientist D posts through ICMR Recruitment 2020 must possess a MD/MS/DNB or equivalent degree in the concerned specialization; Post Graduate Degree with Ph.D in Biotechnology, Sociology, Social Work, Psychology, Biology/Bioscience, Biotechnology, Botany and Bio-informatics with four to seven years in R&D, Teaching, Working experience in a Govt./Public Sector/Private Institutions as detailed in the ICMR Notification 2020.

The selection of candidates for Scientist E and Scientist D posts through ICMR Recruitment 2020 will be done through Shortlisting, Interview and Document Verification as notified in the ICMR Notification 2020.

Candidates selected for Scientist E and Scientist D posts through ICMR Recruitment 2020 will be paid emolument in the range of Rs. 78,800 to Rs. 2,15,900 per month as per designation as mentioned in the ICMR Notification 2020.
