ICG Assistant Commandant 2022 Exam Date Out: Check How to Download and Other Details
Applicants of ICG Assistant Commandant Recruitment 2022, watch out! Your Exam Date for the Written Exam is out!
Indian Coast Guard, ICG has released the dates Written Exam for the post of Assistant Commandant on its official website. The applicants who have applied for this vacancy between August 17 to September 7, 2022, can now head to the official website at joinindiancoastguard.cdac.in to check the Exam Date and related information. Obviously, you have to log in to your account there to download the schedule. We have provided a detailed guide below for the same.
There are 71 vacancies in total across the posts of Assistant Commandant (GD) and Assistant Commandant (SSA), Assistant Commandant (Law) and Assistant Commandant (Engineering). The details of the vacancy is given below:
Assistant Commandant is a Group A gazetted officer post with a handsome monthly salary of Rs 56,100 per month in addition to multiple other perks and benefits.
Selection Process of Assistant Commandant in ICG
- Candidates will be selected based on their performance in 4 rounds: Written Test, Preliminary Selection Board (PSB) Test, Final Selection Board (FSB) Test, and at the very last - the Medical Test
Let's begin with the first round of selection which is the Written Test held in CBT Mode.
- 100 objective-type MCQs with 4 marks each will be there and you get 2 hours to complete the test.
- It will have 4 sections English, Reasoning & Numerical Ability, General Science & Mathematical aptitude and General Knowledge.
- One has to clear all sections separately to pass the Written Exam.
Only those candidates who clear the Written Test will proceed to the next round of PSB Test. And this process will continue till the Medical Exam. Yes, you have to clear each round to progress to the next level.
- What is PSB Test: Computerised Cognitive Battery Test (CCBT) and Picture Perception and Discussion Test (PP & DT). It will be qualifying in nature.
- What is FSB Test: Psychological Test (Thematic Apperception Test, Word Association Test, Situation Reaction Test and Self-Description), Group Tasks (Group Discussion, Lecturette, Group Planning Exercise, outdoor Group Tasks) and Interview.
Merit List will be based on the marks obtained in the Written Test (40% weightage) and FSB Test (60% weightage). Even the Medical Exam will be qualifying in nature.
