ICFAI Business School Introduces Micro Presentation For MBA Admissions 2025

The ICFAI Business School (IBS) has introduced a Micro Presentation in its MBA/PGPM admissions 2025 selection process. This innovative approach, alongside the Personal Interview, evaluates candidates' skills. Academic performance and scholarships are also crucial elements of this year's admissions process.

The ICFAI Business School (IBS) is gearing up for its MBA/PGPM admissions Selection Process 2025, which introduces a novel component, the Micro Presentation, alongside the existing Personal Interview. Scheduled from February 15 to February 24, 2025, at the IBS Hyderabad campus, this next stage follows the IBSAT 2024 examination. IBS has prepared candidates through Selection Briefings held in January across 68 cities, offering insights into what the selection process entails and what academic life at IBS is like.

IBS Unveils New Selection Process For MBA Admissions

In this two-step selection process, candidates first face the Micro Presentation, where they showcase their quick thinking, communication, and presentation skills. Here, they draw a random number between 1 and 100, each corresponding to a specific topic. They get a minute to prepare and three minutes to present in front of a panel and peers. If unsatisfied, a candidate may select a different topic by drawing another number, but they get no further chances. This segment doesn't allow for any interaction or queries post-presentation.

Moving on to the Personal Interview, this crucial stage assesses a candidate's fit for management education. The evaluation focuses on various aspects, such as career aspirations, general knowledge, communication abilities, logical reasoning, and presentation skills. With both the Micro Presentation and Personal Interview carrying equal weightage of 25 marks each, these components are pivotal in assessing a candidate's overall suitability.

Moreover, academic performance plays a significant role, with scores from 10th, 12th, and Graduation exams contributing 50% to the selection criteria. Candidates who have cleared IBSAT 2024 or have exemptions through CAT, GMAT™, XAT, or NMAT by GMAC™, must book their interview slots promptly. Active participation in this selection process is mandatory for gaining admission to any of the nine IBS campuses.

In an effort to support academic excellence and make education more accessible, IBS has announced scholarships totaling ₹10 crore for the 2025-27 batch based on IBSAT 2024 performance. A total of 500 scholarships, each worth ₹2 lakh, will be awarded to selected candidates upon securing admission, reflecting IBS's commitment to fostering talent.

Additionally, IBS encourages management aspirants through its National Mock Tests for IBSAT, aimed at aiding preparation. The top 100 scorers in the recent mock test have been awarded, with prizes including ₹1,00,000 for the first place, ₹50,000 for second, ₹25,000 for third, and ₹5,000 each for the remaining 97 winners. This initiative is part of IBS's efforts to provide comprehensive support to prospective students.

For further information about the selection process or academic programs, prospective students can visit the IBS website or reach out to the ICFAI Business School Information Office. Located at Plot No. 65, Nagarjuna Hills, Punjagutta, Hyderabad, the office can be contacted via phone or email for any inquiries.

Concluding, the selection process at ICFAI Business School (IBS) for MBA/PGPM admissions 2025 highlights a comprehensive approach to evaluate candidates, including innovative components like the Micro Presentation. With scholarships and preparatory initiatives like the National Mock Tests, IBS demonstrates a strong commitment to nurturing future business leaders.
