The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) Council has made a significant decision to hold the Chartered Accountancy (CA) exams three times a year starting from 2024. This decision was revealed during the 430th meeting of the ICAI held in New Delhi on March 7, 2024.

The council has opted to schedule the exams in January, May/June, and September. Previously, exams were solely conducted in May/June and January. The exam will now be administered thrice annually for Intermediate and Foundation courses.
The ICAI Foundation exam serves as the initial stage or entry-level examination in India for aspiring Chartered Accountants (CAs). Individuals who successfully complete the Class 12 exam are eligible to sit for the CA Foundation exam. Additionally, the CA Intermediate follows as the second stage subsequent to the foundation exams. The CA Intermediate phase is divided into two groups, each comprising four subjects. Upon completion of the Foundation exam, students become eligible to enroll in the CA Intermediate course. Furthermore, the CA Final marks the concluding stage in the journey towards becoming a CA.
Meanwhile, the ICAI has unveiled the ICAI CA Mock Test Series 1 for intermediate and final students preparing for the ICAI CA exams scheduled for May 2024. Access to the ICAI CA May 2024 mock tests requires candidates to log in using their registration number and password. The ICAI CA Mock Test Series 1 will be offered in both physical and virtual formats. Candidates opting for the physical mode test should reach out to their respective branches in their locality. The official notification includes a directory of the ICAI's regional branch offices.
