ICAI CA January 2027 Exam Dates Announced: Check Foundation and Intermediate Schedule

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has announced the examination schedule for the CA Foundation and Intermediate January 2027 session. According to the official announcement dated September 23, 2026, the Intermediate examinations will begin on January 2, 2027, while the Foundation examinations will start on January 3, 2027.

ICAI CA January 2027 Exam Dates Announced

The CA Intermediate examination will be conducted in two groups, with three papers in each group. The Foundation course examination will be held on four dates. Candidates should check the paper dates and timings carefully while planning their preparation.

CA Intermediate January 2027 Exam Schedule

The CA Intermediate Group I examinations are scheduled for January 2, 4 and 6, 2027, while Group II examinations will be held on January 8, 10 and 12, 2027. All Intermediate papers will be conducted from 2 PM to 5 PM IST, with a duration of three hours.

CA Foundation January 2027 Exam Schedule

The CA Foundation January 2027 examinations will be conducted on January 3, 5, 7 and 9, 2027. Papers 1 and 2 will be held from 2 PM to 5 PM, while Papers 3 and 4 will be conducted from 2 PM to 4 PM.

Candidates should note the shorter duration for Foundation Papers 3 and 4.

ICAI CA January 2027 Exam Timings and Reading Time

ICAI has prescribed a 15-minute advance reading time from 1:45 PM to 2 PM for all papers and examinations covered by the announcement, except Foundation Papers 3 and 4. No advance reading time will be provided for Papers 3 and 4.

ICAI has also stated that there will be no change in the examination schedule even if any examination date is declared a public holiday by the Central Government, State Government or local bodies.

CA January 2027 Exam Application Dates

Candidates appearing for the Foundation and Intermediate examinations must submit their examination forms online through ICAI's Self Service Portal (SSP). The online application window will open on November 3, 2026. The last date to submit the form without a late fee is November 16, 2026, while applications with a late fee can be submitted until November 19, 2026. A correction window for changing the examination city or medium will be available from November 20 to 22, 2026.

Candidates should keep track of the official ICAI website and SSP portal for examination forms, admit cards and further instructions. The Institute has also notified examination centres in India and three overseas cities - Bahrain, Dubai and Kathmandu - for the January 2027 Foundation and Intermediate examinations.
