The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has released the results for the CA Intermediate and Final exams for 2024. Students can check their results on the official websites, icai.nic.in or icaiexam.icai.org, and are advised to save and download them for future use.

Shivam Mishra from New Delhi achieved the highest score in the CA final exam with an outstanding 83.33% (500 marks). Varsha Arora came in second with 480 marks, while Kiran Manral from Mumbai and Ghilman Saalim Ansari shared the third position.
CA Intermediate Examination Results:
In the CA Inter exams, Bhiwadi's Kushagra Roy achieved the first rank with a remarkable 89.67%. The second position was shared by Yuj Sachin Kariya and Yogya Lalit Chandak, both scoring 89.67%. Manjit Singh Bhatia and Hiresh Kashiramka secured the third rank with 86.50%.
The CA exams are divided into three levels: Foundation, Intermediate, and Final. To become a Chartered Accountant, candidates must pass all these levels. The Foundation course includes four papers, while the Intermediate and Final exams each consist of eight papers based on either a New or Old Syllabus.
CA Final Examination Statistics:
In Group I of the final year exam, out of 74,887 candidates, 20,479 passed, resulting in a pass percentage of 27.35%. For Group II, 58,891 students appeared, with 21,408 qualifying and achieving a pass percentage of 36.35%. In both groups combined, only 7,122 out of 35,819 candidates passed, marking an overall pass rate of 19.88%.
For those checking their results online, candidates need to visit icai.nic.in and click on the result link displayed on the homepage. They must then enter their roll number and registration number to view their results on screen.
Previous Year's Results:
In 2023, Akshay Ramesh Jain from Ahmedabad topped the CA final exam with a score of 616/800 (77%). Kalpesh Jain secured second place followed by Prakhar Varshney in third. A total of 13,430 candidates cleared the CA final exam that year.
The ICAI also released results for the May 2022 session where Mumbai's Anil Shah topped with an impressive score of 80.25%. He was followed by Akshat Goyal from Jaipur with 79.88%, and Shrushtu Keyurbhai Sanghavi who secured third place with 76.38%. That year saw a total of 1,18,771 students appearing for the final exam across various centers in India.
CA Inter Examination Statistics:
In the CA Inter group I exams this year, out of 1,17,764 candidates who appeared, as many as 31,978 (27.15%) qualified. For group II exams, out of 71,145 candidates who appeared, only 13,008 (18.28%) passed. When considering both groups together, out of 59,956 candidates who appeared for both groups only 11,041 (18.42%) managed to pass.
The ICAI will also release a merit list along with the CA result which can be accessed on their official website along with individual scores.
This year's results highlight significant achievements by top scorers while also reflecting challenging pass rates across different groups in both intermediate and final examinations.
