The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has revised the schedule for the CA Final examinations that were originally planned for November 2024. This adjustment has been made to accommodate the Diwali festival, which falls on November 1, ensuring that the exam dates do not clash with the celebrations. Consequently, the Group 1 exams will now start on November 3, while Group 2 exams will commence on November 9.

In an official statement addressing the scheduling conflict, ICAI announced, "It is hereby announced for general information that given the Diwali (Deepavali) Festival across India, the Chartered Accountants Final Examination, November 2024, stands rescheduled." The revised timetable indicates that Group 1 exams are now set for November 3, 5, and 7, with Group 2 exams occurring on November 9, 11, and 13. This marks a significant change from the previous schedule, which extended from November 1 to November 11.
Accessing the Revised Exam Schedule:
Candidates wishing to review the updated exam dates can find this information on the official ICAI website at icai.org. Under the latest announcements section, there is a dedicated link that directs users to the notice regarding the rescheduled exam dates. By clicking this link, candidates will access a PDF file containing the revised timetable, which they are encouraged to download and print for their records. This ensures that all candidates have the necessary information to prepare thoroughly for the new exam dates.
Application Window Reopening:
In addition to the changes to the CA Final exam schedule, ICAI has reopened the application window, allowing candidates another opportunity to submit their forms. This limited application period will be available on September 11 and 12 and will require a late fee of ₹600. This initiative provides a valuable chance for those who may have missed the initial application deadline to still participate in the upcoming examinations.
No Changes to Other Exams:
While adjustments have been made to the CA Final exam schedule, ICAI has confirmed that there will be no changes to the timetable for the Chartered Accountants Post Qualification Course exams. This includes the International Taxation-Assessment Test (INTT-AT) and the Insurance and Risk Management (IRM) Technical Examination, both of which will proceed as initially planned in November 2024.
It is important to note that the examination schedule will remain unchanged, regardless of any public holidays that may coincide with the exam dates. This applies to holidays announced by the Central Government, State Governments, or Local Authorities. Candidates are therefore advised to prepare accordingly, as the schedule is fixed.
For those seeking further information or updates, the ICAI website is a reliable source. Candidates are encouraged to check the site regularly to stay informed about any additional announcements or changes related to the exam schedule. This proactive approach will ensure that all participants are well-prepared and aware of the key dates and requirements for the upcoming exams.
