ICAI CA Exams 2021: The Supreme Court will be giving out its final order regarding the conduct and postponement of ICAI CA Exams 2021 on Wednesday after hearing a slew of pleas challenging the ICAI decision to hold CA Exams 2021 amidst the COVID-19 pandemic and seeking more relaxations.
Hearing the ICAI CA Exams 2021 matter today, a three-judge bench of Supreme Court - Justices AM Khanwilkar, Dinesh Maheshwari and Aniruddha Bose observed that ICAI was free to hold the CA Exams 2021 as scheduled in July but should consider providing necessary relaxations to students, including an opt-out option as COVID related problems cannot be ruled out involving various permutations and combinations.

Appropriate Time To Hold ICAI CA Exams 2021
Earlier in the day, the ICAI in its submission to the Supreme Court said, "The COVID-19 spread is now at a substantially low level, therefore this is the opportune moment to offer the aspiring Chartered Accountants to further their professional careers."
"ICAI is trying to ensure that the examinations are held in July, 2021 with all mandated COVID-19 safety protocols in place for the benefit of around 3.74 lakh candidates," it further submitted while informing the apex court that more than 2.82 lakh aspirants out of 3.74 lakh have downloaded their admit cards.
