Starting January 11th, the IC3 Movement initiated its 2025 IC3 Regional Forums at the Delhi Public School Panvel, Navi Mumbai, marking the beginning of a series aimed at enhancing global access to career and college counseling. This initiative is designed to spark conversations on the fundamental challenges encountered by students and educators, focusing on student well-being and the provision of superior career counseling resources. Over the coming 180-200 days, these forums are set to reach over 30 cities in more than 15 countries, spotlighting critical areas in India among other locations.

The initiative will see over 4,000 schools across 12 or more states in India join the effort, with a goal to spread awareness about comprehensive career counseling practices. This effort seeks to bolster students' academic, emotional, and social development. Under the banner of "Counseling as a Culture," the campaign aims to integrate counseling within the fabric of daily educational activities, moving away from the conventional method of conducting it in standalone sessions. The schools hosting these forums are crucial to the mission, engaging in meaningful dialogue and localized discussions to implement effective counseling strategies that significantly benefit students.
Mr. Ganesh Kohli, the founder of the IC3 Movement, stated, "Our mission is to ensure that every student, regardless of their socio-economic background, or gender, has access to quality counseling that nurtures their holistic development. The IC3 Regional Forums provide a unique opportunity to bridge gaps in counseling by focusing on local challenges and fostering collaboration between school leaders, counselors, and higher education representatives. By addressing students' evolving needs at the grassroots level, we aim to build a supportive and inclusive ecosystem where every student can thrive academically, emotionally, and socially." This sentiment highlights the forums' dedication to creating a more supportive environment for students across various demographics.
In addition, Dr. Nirav Patel, Assistant Professor and Director of Admissions & Outreach at Navrachana University, emphasized the importance of such forums. He said, "It is crucial to create safe spaces where students feel supported and holistic development is prioritized, nurturing not only their academic aspirations but also their emotional and social well-being. The IC3 Regional Forums provide a valuable platform for educators and counselors to collaborate and discuss how we can better support students in these critical areas. By focusing on student well-being and career counseling, these forums facilitate important conversations that help create a more inclusive and emphasize the embedding of a counseling-centered educational ecosystem. At Navrachana University, we are deeply committed to integrating these elements into the student experience, and we are proud to align with the IC3 Movement's mission to expand access to quality counseling and career guidance for students at the grassroots level, empowering them to lead with compassion, purpose, and a sense of responsibility."
These forums will traverse across both Indian and global regions, adopting a 'glocal' strategy that merges global outreach with local applicability. They aim to offer a venue for the professional growth of school counselors and university representatives, enabling knowledge exchange and networking opportunities. The discussions will delve into various topics, including student well-being, career planning strategies, and the dynamic role of counseling in contemporary education systems.
