Lakhs of candidates will take the IBPS Clerk prelims on October 10 and 11 nationwide. Admit card download is active now, and candidates should print a clear copy today. This guide covers reporting, biometrics, documents, paper pattern, dress code, and banned items.
Shift timing, reporting window and entry cut-offs appear on each call letter. Late arrivals are not allowed, even by a few minutes. Carry original photo identity proof and the call letter with a pasted photo. Expect frisking, document checks, photo capture and Aadhaar-based biometrics before lab entry.

Use registration number with password or date of birth on IBPS portal. Check name, photo, exam date, city, shift and reporting time. Paste a recent passport photo on the call letter and print clearly. If it fails, clear cache, change browser, allow pop-ups, try off-peak, or contact IBPS with screenshots.
Shift count and login time vary by centre; follow your call letter. Gate closing is strict, often before candidate login begins. The flow includes registration, frisking, document check, photo capture and biometric verification. Keep your fingers clean, avoid mehendi or cuts, and report early to prevent rush.
Carry the call letter with a pasted photo, plus one original government photo ID. Carry two recent passport photos. Name must match; bring supporting proof for any change. Using a scribe requires the IBPS declaration; extra time applies as per rules.
The prelims include 100 objective questions to be completed in 60 minutes. There is sectional timing, so you cannot carry time between sections. A penalty applies for wrong answers, with negative marking. The interface is bilingual for quantitative aptitude and reasoning ability; English language remains in English.
Wear simple clothes without metal; avoid jewellery, watches and heavy footwear. Do not carry electronic gadgets, calculators, papers, notebooks or food, unless medically required. Rough sheets are provided; pens are usually available at the centre. Return all rough sheets before exit and keep the admit card for future stages.
