Earlier, HPSSC has released the HRTC Conductor recruitment notification on December 28, 2019, for a total of 568 posts. A total of 67,395 candidates have registered for the recruitment out of which 60,732 applications were provisionally admitted.

The official notice reads, "The Written Objective Type Screening Test was held on 18th October, 2020 in which 43996 candidates appeared and 16736 candidates remained absent. Out of total 43996 candidates appeared, the following 1882 candidates have been provisionally shortlisted for further selection process."
