A total of 3 lakh candidates are expected to take the Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (EAMCET) 2014 in Andhra Pradesh.
According to the reliable sources, more than 2 lakh candidates have registered for Engineering entrance examination and more than 1 lakh candidates have registered for Medical entrance examination.
A total of 3,40,000 engineering seats from 704 engineering colleges across Andhra Pradesh are available for admissions through EAMCET 2014.
Around 6,400 MBBS seats from 43 medical colleges across the AP are available for admission through EAMCET 2014.
There are 15 government medical colleges in the state and 2,000 MBBS seats. Number of MBBS seats in Osmania University are 250. There are 200 seats in each college of Gandhi, Andhra Medical, Guntur, Kurnool, Venkateswara, Kakatiya and Rangaraya medical colleges. There are 28 private medical colleges in Andhra Pradesh and 3,800 MBBS seats. In total there are 6,200 seats in government and private medical colleges.
Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Hyderabad is all set to conduct Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (EAMCET 2014) on behalf of APSCHE.

EAMCET 2014 is the qualifying entrance exam for admission to the first year of undergraduate professional courses offered for the academic year 2014-15, in the University & private unaided and affiliated professional colleges in Andhra Pradesh.
