In a positive development for engineering colleges contending with one of the most challenging placement seasons, leading software services companies such as Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), HCLTech, and Accenture have either already extended job offers or are on the brink of doing so to graduates from the Class of 2024.

At VIT Vellore, nearly 10% of the graduating batch (consisting of 9,000 students) have secured employment, primarily due to TCS. This has instilled optimism among officials at other campuses, including VIT, who anticipate visits from additional companies in the upcoming weeks.
Companies in the IT sector such as Infosys, Wipro, and TCS play a pivotal role for engineering colleges as they typically engage in substantial recruitment drives, spanning from several hundred to thousands of hires.
