The Himachal Pradesh Government has initiated a major recruitment drive to fill 3,468 teaching posts in CBSE-affiliated government schools across the state.

The announcement was made by Education Minister Rohit Thakur during a review meeting held to assess the progress of education reforms aimed at strengthening the quality of school education and transforming Himachal Pradesh into a leading educational hub.
The recruitment forms part of the state's broader strategy to improve teaching standards, enhance subject-specific instruction, and ensure adequate staffing in government schools that have adopted the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) curriculum.
According to the Education Department, the ongoing recruitment includes 2,668 regular teaching posts across 19 different categories, for which requisitions have already been forwarded to the Himachal Pradesh Rajya Chayan Aayog, Hamirpur.
