Haryana Govt to introduce board exams for class 8

"State government is considering to restart class 8 board examination under Haryana School Education Board (HSEB) to improve the standard of education,' said Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar.

Addressing a function at Shri Ram Sharnam Asharam at Gohana in Sonipat, he said, "The government is making efforts to provide quality education, for which the exam system would also be upgraded."

Haryana to introduce board exams for class 8

The Board of School Education Haryana, Bhiwani came into existence in 1969. Its head-quarters at Chandigarh later shifted to Bhiwani in January 1981. The Board has introduced the semester system of education from academic year 2006-2007.

It is the first Board to introduce relative grading, CCE (Continuous & Comprehensive Evaluation) in board classes i.e. secondary and senior secondary.
