Haryana Govt to make changes in education system: Khattar

By

Karnal, April 7: Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar today said state government will make necessary changes in the education system to make the balance in favour of the private schools tilt towards the government schools.

Addressing a 'Jan Abhivadan Rally' at Assandh in the district today said our weak education system was responsible for the balance tilting towards the private schools.

"As many as 85 per cent children of leaders and officers are studying in private schools whereas only 15 per cent in government schools. Our aim is to reverse the trend and make value based education available in the state. It is with this end in view that Gita and Gurbani would also be taught in schools," an official statement quoting Khattar said.

The Chief Minister said during the tenure of the previous government, ministers and officers used to say that money could help you find your way through the corridors of power.

"But no one can say it now when the BJP government is in power. If anybody asks for graft, bring the matter to my notice. Our government is available 24 hours for hearing such complaints", he added.

The Chief Minister said the Opposition described BJP government as inexperienced, "we may not have experience in cheating but we have so much experience of serving the people and they can't match our level. The opposition enjoyed power to grind their own axe, but we have come to power just to serve the people. This is the resolution of our Prime Minister Narendra Modi."

"Former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi had said at a public meeting in Jaipur once that out of one rupee sent by the Centre for development works, only 15 paise reached the people. At that time, leaders, officers and employees would fill their pockets with money, but this is not the case under the present central and state governments" he said.
