Gulbarga University Students Visit Oneindia For Online Media Exposure

The Gulbarga University media students made a visit to Oneindia to have an insight of the power of media.

In the world of today, online media has become almost as necessary as food and clothing. It is true that media is playing a humongous role in strengthening the society. The main motto of the media is to inform, educate and entertain the people.

Also, media helps us to know current situation around the world and has a strong social and cultural impact upon society. Because of its inherent ability to reach a large number of public, it is widely used to convey a message to build public opinion and awareness.

The total number of students from the Gulbarga University was 10 in the number who took part in the media visit to Oneindia along with the faculty Dr. K. M Kumarswamy and Chandralekha J.S.

The journalism students from the Gulbarga University had an interactive session with the Oneindia Kannada Editor and learned more about the 'media means' and how Oneindia was established. The Kannada Editor Shyam Sundar gave a glimpse on how we get stories, reach the target audience and their interests. He also explained about "Pure internet and dependency on the internet".
