Rajkot, Dec 8: Gujarat government is committed to quality education so as to ensure that at least one university from the state is among the world's top 200 varsities, Education Minister Bhupendra Sinh Chudasama said.
"As education minister of the state, I felt pained when it was brought to my notice that our country's varsities are not among the world's top 200 universities," Chudasama said, while addressing students at the Saurashtra University on its 49th annual convocation ceremony here at its campus.
"The state has potential and therefore it's my desire to give global recognition to at least one of our state's university," he said, adding that the mission to get such a global recognition is tough, but not impossible.
"Morals and ethics are important. We should have some principles in our lives and never make any compromise for personal gain," he said.
