The Gujarat Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (GBSHSE) has released the schedule for the Class 10 and 12 supplementary exams for 2024. Students can view the exam dates on the official website, gseb.org.

Exam Dates and Details
The supplementary exams offer students a chance to improve their scores. The schedule is as follows:
- SSC (Class 10) Supplementary Exams: June 24 to July 4.
- HSC (Class 12) Supplementary Exams:
- Science stream: June 24 to July 3.
- General stream: Concludes on July 6.
- Vocational stream: Concludes on July 3.
These exams are for students who were either absent or received a 'needs improvement' mark in up to three subjects on their Gujarat Class 10 and 12 mark sheets.
Exam Pattern
HSC Class 12 Supplementary Exam
The exam consists of two sections:
- Section A: 50 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) worth 50 marks.
- Section B: Descriptive questions worth 50 marks.
- The exam is OMR-based and lasts for 3 hours. Candidates should arrive at the exam center half an hour before the start time on the first day.
SSC Supplementary Exam
The SSC supplementary exam will be scored out of 80 marks, except for vocational courses, which will be out of 30 marks. The exam schedule is as follows:
- Timing: 10 am to 1:15 pm, with the first 15 minutes allocated for reading.
- Vocational exams: 10 am to 11:15 am.
GSEB SSC, HSC Results 2024
The performance in the main exams has shown notable trends:
- Class 12 Science Stream: Boys outperformed girls with a pass rate of 83.53%, while girls achieved an 82.35% pass rate.
- HSC General Stream: Out of 3,78,268 students, 3,47,738 passed.
- HSC Science Stream: 91,625 out of 1,11,132 students passed.
- Pass Percentage Trends
- Science Group A: 90.11%
- Science Group B: 78.34%
- Combined Groups A and B: 68.42%
The overall SSC pass percentage for 2024 is 82.56%, a significant increase from last year's 64.62%. Girls had a pass rate of 86.69%, while boys had a pass rate of 79.12%. The previous year's pass rate had dropped to 64.62% from 65.18% in 2022.
Subject Performance
Out of 699,598 regular students, 577,556 qualified for the Secondary School Certificate.
23,247 students secured an A1 grade in the SSLC exam.
- Basic Math: Lowest pass rate at 83.4%.
- Standard Math: Highest pass rate at 99.45%.
