This year, 17,987 students appeared for the Goa Board HSSC exams. Among these participants, 8,550 were male and 9,437 were female. The breakdown of students by stream is as follows:
The overall pass percentage for the HSSC exams was 85%. Male students achieved a pass rate of 81.6%, while female students secured an 88% pass rate. When analyzed by stream, Commerce students led with a 90.7% pass rate, followed by Arts with 86.3%, Science with 82.4%, and Vocational with 76.4%.
According to GBSHSE, students must score at least 33% in each subject to pass. Scoring below 33% in any subject results in a 'Fail' designation for that subject. Achieving 33% grants a Grade G. No grade is given for scores below the passing threshold.
