GITAM Varsity signs partnership with ACCA to impart quality education

GITAM Varsity and ACCA sign a partnership deal

Hyderabad, 5th March 2014: Students at GITAM Institute of Management, one of India's top ranked business universities, now have an opportunity to earn both a degree and a globally recognised professional accountancy qualification by the time they graduate as a result of a new partnership between GITAM and ACCA (the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants).

As a result of a partnership agreement signed on 28 February, GITAM, which has campuses in Hyderabad, Vishakapatnam (Vizag) and Bangalore, and ACCA, the global body for professional accountants, with 162 members and 428,000 students worldwide, will work together to launch an ACCA Embedded programme, which is based on International Financial Reporting Standards, the standard which Indian accounting standards will converge within the next few years.The agreement will enable students on the B.Com honours programme to study the ACCA Qualification and gain a BSc. in Applied Accounting from Oxford Brookes University (UK) in the process.
