Patna: Yet another time, the boys were outwitted by girls at the 1st convocation of Aryabhatta Knowledge University (AKU), held on Monday. The girls bagged as many as 10 gold medals out of the 14 gold medals.
Divya Prasad (MS), Richa Singh (MD), Julee (BTech, annual), Shista Priyadarshi (MBBS), Abhilasha Kumari (BTech, semester), Sudipta Tirkey (BSc nursing), Shilpee Singh (Bed), Ekta Rai (Med), Shikha Ranjan (B Tech) and Sushma Suman (BPharma) were the toppers of different courses who received gold medals.
Among the boys, Ankur Kumar Sinha (PG diploma in medicine) , Prashant Kumar Mandilwar (PG diploma in medicine), Mayank Kumar (MS) and Prasoon Kumar (MD) received their gold medals for being toppers of their respective courses.
A total of 3,669 scholars of the university were conferred on their degrees at the convocation gathering. Earlier, AKU's Registrar N K Singh led an academic procession to begin the convocation. The annual report was presented by AKU's Vice-Chancellor S N Guha. The achievements of the university was highlighted by Guha.
Also present at the convocation were, Chief Minister's Principal Secretary Anjani Kumar Singh, Governor's Principal Secretary Brajesh Mehrotra, Education Department's Principal Secretary Amarjeet Sinha and Chanakya National Law University's Vice-Chancellor A Lakshminath.
