GATE 2025 registration dates released, know steps to apply at gate2025.iitr.ac.in

The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) registrations will commence on August 24 and end on September 26. Candidates can access the application form on the official website - gate2025.iitr.ac.in once the login window opens in August.

GATE is a national-level exam that evaluates the comprehensive understanding of various undergraduate subjects in engineering, technology, architecture, science, commerce, arts, and humanities. The exams will take place from February 1 to 16, 2025.

When filling out the GATE 2025 application form, candidates need to provide personal information such as their name, date of birth, personal mobile number, parents' names, and parents' mobile numbers. The candidate's name must match exactly with the name on their valid photo ID.

Required Documents for GATE 2025

Candidates must upload a high-quality image of their passport-sized coloured photograph with a white background. The image should be in JPG/JPEG format and not exceed 1 MB. It must clearly show the frontal part of the face covering eyes, nose, lips, and forehead.

A high-quality image of the candidate's signature is also required. This should be done in black or dark blue ink only and should not exceed 1 MB in size. Additionally, candidates need to upload copies of category certificates (SC/ST), PwD certificates if applicable, and dyslexia certificates if applicable.

Additional Details for Application

The application form also requires an address for communication, including the PIN code. Candidates must provide details about their eligibility degree and select the GATE papers they wish to appear for along with their codes. They also need to choose any three cities from the same zone as their preferred examination centres.

For fee payment, candidates should have details of their net banking/debit card/credit card/UPI ready. A scanned copy of a valid photo identity document such as Aadhar-UID (preferable), passport, PAN card, voter ID or driving license is necessary. This photo ID must include the candidate's name, date of birth, and unique photo ID number.

Important Considerations

The GATE 2025 scorecard will be issued based on the name entered in the application form. Therefore, prefixes or titles like Mr., Mrs., Shri., Smt., Dr., Prof., Capt., Maj., Lt., Col., Er., Ar., etc., should not be used.

Candidates must ensure that all uploaded documents are clear and readable. Unreadable documents may delay processing or even lead to rejection of candidature. The photo ID must be carried to the examination hall for verification purposes.
