GATE 2025 Exam Centers Shifted from Prayagraj to Lucknow Amid Mahakumbh

Aspiring engineers gearing up for GATE 2025 will now have to take note of an important change. Due to the Mahakumbh gathering in Prayagraj, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee has relocated the GATE 2025 examination centers from Prayagraj to Lucknow for exams scheduled on February 15 and 16, 2025.

This decision aims to ensure a smooth and disruption-free examination process as the city of Prayagraj will be witnessing one of the world's largest religious gatherings. Candidates must download their revised admit cards to reflect the new exam venue and make necessary travel arrangements in advance.

How to Download the Updated Admit Card?

If your exam was originally scheduled in Prayagraj, follow these steps to get your revised admit card:

Visit the official GOAPS portal: https://goaps.iitr.ac.in/login
Enter your credentials: Use your enrollment number and password to log in.
Click on "GATE Login": This will take you to your dashboard.
Download the updated admit card: Ensure it reflects Lucknow as the new test center.
Print a copy: Carry a hard copy of your admit card to the exam hall.

Why This Change?

The Mahakumbh Mela, a massive pilgrimage drawing millions of devotees, is expected to cause extensive crowding and logistical challenges in Prayagraj. To avoid delays or disruptions, IIT Roorkee has proactively shifted the GATE 2025 exam centers to Lucknow for affected candidates.
